My Story

As Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Avika White, Serwaah Sarfo Mensah leads the organization in pursuit of its mission — to deliver sustainable impact across health, education, food security, environment, economic growth, and justice. She brings to this role a wealth of experience as a lawyer, entrepreneur, and consultant, and a deep commitment to empowering communities through innovative and inclusive development.

Serwaah also serves as Managing Partner of Heritas Law, where she has represented clients across commercial, family, criminal, property, corporate, construction, energy, and international law. Her legal practice is marked by tenacity and clarity, with a strong record in complex litigation and advisory services. In parallel, she is the Chief Executive Officer of the Leoblanc Group of Companies, providing strategic leadership to over ten diversified ventures spanning construction, logistics, pharmaceuticals, catering, real estate, and fashion.

Her upbringing in Ghana, combined with early exposure to community leadership as Head Prefect of Kumasi Wesley Girls’ Senior High School, inspired her passion for justice, leadership, and service. At Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, she rose to prominence as SRC Women’s Commissioner, where she advocated for gender equity, student welfare, and youth empowerment — an early demonstration of her drive to give voice to the underrepresented. She went on to earn her LL.B. from KNUST, her professional law qualification (B.L.) from the Ghana School of Law, and an LL.M. in Energy Law from the University of Ghana. Most recently, she completed her MSc in Defence and International Politics at the Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College, where she pursued advanced training in foreign policy, crisis management, maritime governance, counter-terrorism, and defence management.

Serwaah’s career has bridged both private and public sectors. She began her legal practice with the Law Offices of Ayine & Felli before rising to senior associate at Heritas Law, and gained early experience with the National Petroleum Authority, where she worked on governance, regulatory, and legal frameworks. She has also served as a volunteer with the Legal Aid Commission, representing vulnerable populations and ensuring access to justice.

Beyond law and business, Serwaah is widely recognized for her role in legal education and civic engagement. She has appeared across major Ghanaian media platforms — television, radio, and digital — simplifying complex governance and constitutional issues to promote legal literacy and empower citizens.

Her entrepreneurial ventures include leadership in construction, catering, logistics, and pharmaceuticals, where she has consistently combined business growth with social impact. Through Avika White, she integrates her diverse expertise into a cohesive vision of sustainable development, building partnerships that amplify community resilience and opportunities.

Serwaah holds certificates in Multi-Domain Operations, Conflict and Crisis Management, Maritime Sector Governance, Foreign Policy and Institutional Diplomacy, Defence Management, and Counter-Terrorism/Counter-IED Operations. She is fluent in English and Asante-Twi, and her personal interests include cooking, fashion design, and styling — expressions of her creative and vibrant personality.

Driven by a fearless belief in justice, equity, and opportunity, Serwaah continues to build a career that bridges law, governance, security, and entrepreneurship, positioning her as a leader of vision and impact in Ghana and beyond.
