Step Forward Project: Restoring Mobility, Restoring Hope

ree

For many people recovering from illness, injury, or disability, mobility is more than movement — it is independence, dignity, and the chance to live a full life. Yet across Ghana, countless patients complete medical treatment only to find themselves unable to recover fully because they lack access to basic physiotherapy equipment.

At Avika White, we believe no one should be left behind simply because they cannot afford the tools they need to heal. That is why we launched the Step Forward Project — a health initiative dedicated to equipping individuals and hospitals with essential physiotherapy aids.

About the Project

The Step Forward Project provides vital tools such as wheelchairs, walking aids, crutches, and therapeutic devices to patients, hospitals, and rehabilitation centers. These items are not luxuries; they are lifelines that help patients regain strength, confidence, and independence.

Through this initiative, every piece of equipment donated represents a step forward — a stroke patient taking their first walk again, an accident survivor regaining independence, or a hospital finally able to support its rehabilitation unit.

Why It Matters

  • A wheelchair can mean the difference between isolation and community participation.

  • Walking aids can restore mobility for patients recovering from injury or surgery.

  • Physiotherapy tools support faster and more effective recovery.

Without these, recovery is delayed, independence is compromised, and hope is diminished. The Step Forward Project bridges that gap.
